Economic Development - Grant Administration and Special Projects

Brian Bigbie joins Tulsa Ports from the Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG) where he served as the Principal Economic Development Planner. During his five years at INCOG, Brian was responsible for managing the 5-Year Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the INCOG economic development district and serving as the regions point of contact with the U.S. Economic Development Administration. Brian worked closely with public and private entities to develop regionally significant economic development projects and helping to secure approximately $15 million in federal awards to help fund these projects. Prior to his time at INCOG, Brian worked for the Deputy Director’s Office at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for over five years serving as a legislative analyst and working on special projects. Brian has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah and a Master of Arts in International Studies from The University of Oklahoma in Norman. He has been married to his wife Amy for almost 16 years. They have two boys ages 11 and 7. He enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, visiting new places, taking on new challenges, following international relations and markets, and watching Oklahoma football.
