The Rogers County Commissioned appointed Steven J. Adams to the City of Tulsa-Rogers County Port Authority. Adams fulfilled the unexpired four-year term of his father, Joseph Q. Adams, who vacated his seat on the board after 26 years of continuous service.
Adams is a shareholder with Gable Gotwals. He is a former Oklahoma District Judge, and he served as District Judge for Rogers, Mayes and Craig counties from 1987 to 1993. He is the former presiding judge for the Northeastern Judicial Administrative District, and he was honored in 1992 as the outstanding trial judge for the State of Oklahoma. Adams served on the Board of Governors for the Oklahoma Bar Association, and he is a former trustee of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation. He is past vice president of the Oklahoma Judicial Conference, former president of the W. Lee Johnson American Inn of Court and presently serves as a Master of the Bar of the American Inns of Court. Also, Adams is an adjunct professor of law at the University of Tulsa College of Law. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and earned his juris doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law.
